MT RAINIER

  • Summer of 2021 I’ve got crazy. I’ve packed my gear and my family and headed out from my eastern Pennsylvania home and drove all the way to state of Washington. Straight to Mt. Rainer National Park. It was August. It was taking about 4-4,5 days just to get here. Of cores I have stopped locations like Mt. Rushmore, but I haven’t spend much time there because I knew I have to see this park and I have to see this state. And I have to tell you, this 10 crazy days was one of my finest road trip in my entire career. I did not only see Mt rainier, but every available national parks that on the way here, in state of Washington, Montana and North Dakota was provided me. Even tho I had to drive 24 hours strait to get home on the tenth day, is still worth the effort and energy and all the expenses for this experience and memory I’ve collected on this trip. This is became Far may favorite park and State for a long while. This is a Must see park before you die so better to put it on your bucket list front of any other listed items.

Mount Rainier is so high, you will see far distance. The 14,411 feet (4392m) peak will be in snowed all year around. In august I was snowballing at the top visitor center. Its just fun. when you drive in, you just drive up and up and when you thing there is no more road to up, then you just find out the rad still going up. But before we get there, I have to tell you that you must see this park and the entire state in August. Washington is the most rainier state and august is just prefect to come here. Also The wild flowers are blooming in august and colors everywhere you see. in 2022 I came here in March or April and I couldn’t see the most of the park because there was ^ feet snow walls on the road. it was a different kind of beauty.

Anyway, first I’ve stopped at Tipsoo lake and started walk around the first thing I felt, this is Paradise. When you see beautiful drawings about the paradise in heaven you see pictures and peace that you see and feel here. like the perfect place in earth. I spent a good amount time here before I left to Sunrise Visitor Center which is …. the end of the road … you know… upstairs…

It was a long beautiful drive up here its just made you feel, you don’t mind to drive you don’t even want to stop. This is a gorgeous park.

The park itself is pretty big, its 236,381 acre (142.2 sq miles, 368km2) But you cant drive trough most of it, and the only reason you cant, because there are no roads. but, you can hike it. you can hike it all over. the park filled with valleys, waterfalls and you can find 25 glaciers as well.  filled with animals, like cougars, black bears, bobcats, porcupines, beavers all kind of beautiful birds and there is a long  list what kind of animals you can meet during your hike.

This paradise is can not been seen only once. Once you have seen it, you have to return.

Mt Rainier during summer sunset is looks like a beautiful lightbulb sticking out from the evergreen pine forest. From distance its looks like drawing but actually its a photo made by iPhone on the road from a gas station without any kind of editing.

These predeclare thing makes worth to visit the one of the most beautiful state in United States: Washington.

WHAT ELSE IS AROUND? WHERE TO STAY? HERE YOU GO….

Washington state is one of the best state for summer vacation. summer short, but not so hot, a lot to see and what you see is beauty everywhere! This evergreen state have 3 national park, and all 3 parks are stunning! Probably the most gorgeous parks in the entire nation. The Olympic has these awesome forest with moss hanging down from it. feels like to be in another world. North Cascade is Alps of America. I cant say anything but good about this park. Lakes are clean like never seen human before, and from the top of the mountains looks like emerald green. Like a painting. The beaches of Washington state is so nice, so beautiful, with the huge rock on the beaches, the east coast has nothing like that at all. One of my favorite beach here is the Ruby beach. The Stack of abundant driftwood along the rocky shoreline has a dramatic view from walking down the upper parking lot. Its got great hiking trails and so many photo opportunity that not many beach offers.

WHERE TO STAY:

Both times I visited the area I stayed Seattle. I stayed near by the airport since the hotels are cheaper and the quality is not bad. From Seattle all the national Parks and beaches are available and evening is great to walk around this beautiful city.

BEST MONTH TO COME:

I’ve been here only two times, both time was great for different reasons. The first time was august, and the second time was April. April was different, because I wanted to see the snow walls in the park, and Mt Rainier in snow. I love the Pine trees in winter, for me its very magical to drive trough pine forest at winter. But! August is so great to be here, because its less rain, more sunshine, the grey is green and the green is greener. Also the wild flowers blooming in August.  Feels like to be truly in paradise. Like a movie set. Cant imagine better vacation plan than to spend a week or two here. So the very best time to visit Washington state is mid August!
