ARCHES
Arches National Park is the a very unique “sculpture garden”. Like a museum of the nature in the nature.
Whatever what season of the year you want to visit here, its always a great place to visit. It was the film location of a several scene from Indiana Jones.
The Delicate Arch and the Double Arches are my favorite two places here. these easy hikes, but the view is heavily overwhelm you, I guarantee.
For a very long time, this was my absolute favorite park.
This park is so popular, you have preregister to be able to come in. Once your in, the drive into the park will take a high pitch up to the mountains and will give dramatic view. Then you will pass great red rocks … and it’s all starts…
The Main Stops
Park Avenue
Balanced Rock Area
Balanced Rock – its easy to approach, its got its own parking lot right off main road. AT sunset or sunrise can give a nice picture, or if you into night photograph, then its another good opportunity.
The Windows Section
Turret Arch or Double Arch are my favorite. especially double arch. I love climb up to the window and look down or look trough. The scenery is spectacular here. Also this is the part of the Indiana Jones movie scene. Best in the afternoon to take photo here. Pretty close to the parking lot, just a short enjoyable easy trail to the arch.
Delicate Arch Area
My absolute favorite arch of all. The 3 miles hiking trail over here is providing a jaw dropping view already especially when you reach a the narrow ledge part to hike on. Also good to know that the Delicate Arch is the most photographed arch in the world.
Broken and Sand Dune Arches
Easy to access, is less than a mile easy hike here. Broken Arch have a nice form and great view trough its window.
Devil’s Garden
The Devil’s Garden is my playground. I love climbing and hiking here, therefore a several times I have reached Landscape Arch that the longest natural arch in the US. Its spans 290 feet and therefore It is the fifth-longest in the world. The Double O arch is requires about 2.5 miles from the parking lot. You better to bring enough water with you if you want to hike this 5 miles trail. Also you can hike here the Navajo and the Partition arches.
